Meet Kait Towner, LMHC, CCPT, PMH-C
Online Therapy Across New York for Moms Navigating Mom Rage, Birth Trauma, Pregnancy Loss, and Postpartum Anxiety
“Parenthood often looks picture-perfect online, but it's crucial to talk about the realities of motherhood—the messy, overwhelming, and utterly unglamorous parts—so no mom feels alone in her struggles.”
– Kait Towner, LMHC, CCPT, PMH-C
Why I Help Moms
Motherhood can be beautiful, meaningful, and deeply rewarding—but it can also be overwhelming, isolating, and far more complicated than many people expect.
As both a therapist and a mother, I've experienced firsthand how pregnancy, birth, and parenting can bring up emotions, challenges, and parts of ourselves we never anticipated. I know what it's like to carry the mental load, question yourself, and wonder if you're the only one struggling.
That experience, combined with my specialized training in maternal mental health, trauma, attachment, and Brainspotting, is what led me to focus my practice on supporting mothers.
Today, I help moms navigate mom rage, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, postpartum anxiety, overwhelm, and the many emotional challenges that can come with motherhood. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and never judged for what you're carrying.
You don't have to do this alone.

-
Absolutely. Birth trauma and pregnancy loss can be deeply painful experiences that often leave lasting emotional impacts. I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed space to process grief, trauma, anxiety, and the complex emotions that can accompany these experiences.
-
Brainspotting is a brain-body therapy approach that helps people process trauma, anxiety, and emotionally distressing experiences. It works by identifying eye positions connected to unresolved experiences, allowing the brain to access and process them in a deeper way than talk therapy alone. Many clients find Brainspotting especially helpful for trauma, birth trauma, anxiety, and feeling stuck in patterns they can't seem to think their way out of.
