About Me
Kait Towner, LMHC, CCPT, PMH-C
As a mom of two wild red-headed boys, I don’t just understand this work professionally, I live it too.
I know what it’s like when motherhood doesn’t feel the way you expected, when your patience disappears faster than you can understand it, or when you’re doing everything “right” and still feel like you’re barely holding it together.
Specialized Training in Maternal Mental Health & Trauma
I’m a licensed mental health counselor and perinatal mental health specialist. My training allows me to support mothers navigating postpartum anxiety, mom rage, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and the many emotional challenges that can come with motherhood.
I focus my work on supporting mothers through some of the most overwhelming, confusing, and emotionally intense parts of motherhood.
My Approach
Clients tell me I feel real, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. Being real with you matters to me.
I’m not a blank-slate therapist who just nods and asks how things feel in your body. I show up as a real human in the room because I think healing happens best when you feel like you’re talking to someone who actually gets it.
I work especially well with clients who are new to therapy or telehealth, or who have felt disconnected from traditional therapy styles.
Availability: I provide online therapy for clients throughout New York.

My Background
I’ve experienced two complicated births myself, and I know firsthand how much of a difference support can make when things don’t go the way you expected.
That experience, combined with my training in maternal mental health, trauma, and attachment, is what led me to specialize in this work. I also helped develop programs for teen parents, which deepened my commitment to supporting families in real, practical, compassionate ways.
I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) and I’m always continuing to learn through training, consultation, and supervision.
