Supporting Moms, Children, and Teens in Rochester, NY and Online Throughout New York State

You Are Not Alone and I’m Here To Give You Hope.
My years as a mom and a therapist have equipped me with a unique and empathetic perspective on the joys and struggles of motherhood. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor that specializes in child and teen mental health in addition to perinatal mental health, I am passionately committed to supporting the mental health of moms, children, and families. My experience includes providing therapeutic support for children, teens, and mothers who have experienced a high level of stress or trauma. I additionally have expertise in working with prenatal or postnatal moms experiencing anxiety or depression, as well as those facing challenges related to infertility, pregnancy loss, and the transition to parenthood.

I approach therapy from a whole person/family wellness mindset. Mind, Body, Spirit. I focus on a person/family’s strengths and build on what is already working. In therapy I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work together. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Infant Mental Health frameworks, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to provide holistic and individualized care. The goals we create together focus on improving the areas in your life, your family's life, and your child's life that need support and change.
A Little Bit More About Me
My passion for supporting mothers and parents began during my Master's program in Community Mental Health Counseling, where I developed a strong interest in working with young families experiencing trauma. Early in my career as a therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic, I spearheaded the development and implementation of a program training and supporting clinicians specializing in perinatal mental health, infant mental health, and early childhood mental health. I also contributed to the development of a community-based program for teen moms, addressing the unique challenges they face. My personal experience with the adjustment to motherhood and parenting further fuels my dedication to supporting individuals and families during the perinatal period and beyond.

My journey as a mental health therapist has provided me with invaluable experience in a variety of environments, from outpatient mental health centers and community-based programs to school settings and private practice.
